Don't know how much labour and thought you put on this and pulled it together, but I guess you must always have great fun making those works and doin' all sorts of experiments. The whole image has a very lovable craziness about it, and i find it hard to resist it.
You know those shirts made out of tight, stretch fabric that girls wear that has all the extremely bright, vivid colors and designs on them? Your art should be on the shirts, because I sure as hell would buy them.
What I like, more than anything, is the perversion
of space; I think that strong a word is necessary,
because nothing in the image dances nor hovers
nor is indeterminately indeterminate.
Each element cries out and tears at its neighbor,
its counterpart; tearing apart the sense of words
like up and down and near and far and is and seems.
The forms themselves, as patterns, as surfaces are so
clean -- and aesthetic in themselves -- but their interaction
denies and denies it, maybe like the futile, counterproductive
sterility of the mental hospital. This visual psychosis,
however, seems something to be sought, rather than picked
and prodded against, a step into opening up into
the mute lunacy of unpredictable reality.
. . . how to thank you for your interpretation in my haste to respond, I have no words but instead will give you this . . .
. . . and another, . . . thank you!
btw, I printed this image today on a large format injet HP printer at full rez. 20"x30" (300dpi) and was So, amazed to see it in print. I'm very happy.... not really good at promoting myself, or comfortable with talking about my work, but with this one,
this is an amazing piece arterie... surely worthy of occupying museum space... is it photography and digital manipulation? love the bold colors and the graphic style... intense piece... i really like this one.
if I could choose, if I would be forced to, this would be my favourite... maybe because of the beautiful use of red or the elegant touch of realistic shapes in the lower half, but this one got me...! excellent, you bloody lucky artistic freak!
