Wow, you did add the image from your journal as a deviation, or atleast the source materials. Again, the massive empty white background feels empty to me. I am not sure what to suggest, but you have always been the master of compostional backgrounds before. The backgrounds in your other images really do work well because always seem to align them based upon orthagonals or horizon lines. Their colors also emphasize the foreground. The flowers are brilliant in their color and detail though.
your work is always inspiring and unique, a real pleasure to see what you come up with- this is another one which hits that "oooh thats prettyful" bone.
This one will be a deviation too. I was thinking about how it will look as a print, and to let the flowers and shapes guide your eye through the picture plane. It's sort of an experiment too, I was wondering how the final print might be different on the flowers if additional colors in the background were added. By focusing on just the flowers I am hoping for more brilliant colors. *fingers crossed. - I think you might lose some of the best transparent areas. The 100 percent view on my monitor looks nice, I want to capture all those little areas and blow them up to poster size also, but pixels only go so far. -
thanks Cheney! - hope that makes sense, just woke up, slept in late, sipping RedBull, . . .
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
